Thea Dress in Sage Silk

Story
The Thea Dress is named after the Ancient Greek word meaning "goddess," as I love to think this is the kind of dress an off-duty modern-day Pallas Athena would wear. It's loose, flowy, and drapey, with a longer-than-expected length and an elegant high-low hem. The simplicity of the design draws attention to the drape of the fabric, and the keyhole back with the bow-tied closure pulls everything together. The Thea is as easily dressed up with statement jewelry and heels as it is dressed down with layers and flats. (I'd like to think Athena would wear it both ways.)

Materials
This dress is made of silk crepe de Chine from China. It is a heavier weight of silk (16.5mm) that has been stone washed to give it a perfectly matte and slightly nubby look. When I first laid eyes and hands on this silk, I knew it was the one — never before had I seen and felt something so amazingly luxe with perfect drape.
I hand-dyed this silk using acid dyes; this particular color is a lively sage green that pairs well with cream and navy.
The dress is lined with undyed GOTS-certified organic cotton double gauze, produced in a Fair Trade certified mill in India. Our lining fabric is unbelievably soft and breathable and makes for a perfect lightweight layer against your skin.
In addition to the fabric, this dress uses silk thread and organic cotton labels.
Fit
Take a look at our Size Guide to find your size.
The Thea is pretty loose-fitting and forgiving as far as size goes, but it is most fitted in the bust, so I suggest using that measurement to determine your size. If your bust measurement falls in between sizes, I recommend sizing up — the dress will just be more comfortable and flowy that way!
Mallory is wearing a size 4 and is 5'6" with a 34" bust, 27" waist, and 39" hip.
