Thea Dress in Blueberry Linen

SOLD OUT

We're sorry, but this product is sold out.

Story

The Thea Dress is named after the Ancient Greek word meaning "goddess," as I love to think this is the kind of dress an off-duty modern-day Pallas Athena would wear. It's loose, flowy, and drapey, with a longer-than-expected length and an elegant high-low hem. The simplicity of the design draws attention to the drape of the fabric, and the keyhole back with the bow-tied closure pulls everything together. The Thea is as easily dressed up with statement jewelry and heels as it is dressed down with layers and flats. (I'd like to think Athena would wear it both ways.)

      Materials

This dress is made of flax linen from China. At 6.8 ounces, it is a bit thicker than what you would normally think of when you think of linen, and as a result the fabric is substantial and opaque in addition to being characteristically soft and breathable.

I hand-dyed this linen using eco-friendly fiber-reactive dyes to get this perfect shade of medium navy blue. Being navy blue, the fabric pairs with just about everything under the sun, from white to cream to yellow to pink.

The dress is lined with a more lightweight version of similar flax linen from China, hand-dyed the exact same shade of blue.

In addition to the fabric, this dress uses cotton thread and organic cotton labels.

      Fit

Take a look at our Size Guide to find your size.

The Thea is pretty loose-fitting and forgiving as far as size goes, but it is most fitted in the bust, so I suggest using that measurement to determine your size. If your bust measurement falls in between sizes, I recommend sizing up — the dress will just be more comfortable and flowy that way!

Anna is wearing a size 4 and is 5'8" with a 33" bust, 27" waist, and 42" hip.
