Story
With a simple crew neck and a button-up back, the Regatta Top brings a summery nautical vibe to our SS17 collection. A lot of my inspiration for the collection came from Raoul Dufy (one of my favorite painters), and for this top I set out to design something that captured the vivacity and ebullience of his many maritime paintings while remaining modern and wearable. My favorite way to wear the Regatta is untucked over a pair of high-waisted pants (our Sawyer Pants make an excellent pairing), but it also looks great half-tucked, fully tucked, and — most unexpectedly — with the shirttails tied in the back.

Materials
This top is made of flax linen from China. At 6.8 ounces, the fabric is a bit thicker than what you would normally think of when you think of linen, and as a result the fabric is substantial and opaque in addition to being characteristically soft and breathable.
I hand-dyed this linen using eco-friendly fiber-reactive dyes to get this perfect shade of medium navy blue. Being navy blue, the fabric pairs with just about everything under the sun, from white to cream to yellow to pink.
In addition to the fabric, this style uses cotton thread, 5 vintage plastic buttons, organic cotton interfacing, and organic cotton labels.

The Regatta is pretty loose and boxy everywhere but the bust, so use your bust measurement when determining your size. The style runs slightly small, so if your measurements fall in between sizes, I recommend sizing up.
Alyssa is wearing a size 0 and is 5'8" with a 35" bust, 27" waist, and 37" hip.
