Portia Top in Saffron Dot
SOLD OUT
We're sorry, but this product is sold out.
Story
You might just think that the Portia is nothing more than the shirt version of the Leonor Dress, but I implore you to take a closer look. Yes, the neckline and the buttons and the sleeves are the same, but the fit is totally different. For the Portia, I used the same pattern block as last season's Poppy Top, a classic button-up that incorporated a slightly curved side seam meant to contour with the natural curves of a person's body rather than a normal straight seam. The result is an easy-to-wear top that is flattering and slightly fitted but not overly fussy — basically everything you ever wanted out of a button-up.
The Portia is perfect for tucking in and leaving out, and the sleeves work great as is or rolled up. The loop buttonholes, V-neck, and slightly exaggerated shirttail hem are all little details that make the top special, but not so special that it won't go with basically everything in your closet.

Materials
This top is made of organic cotton voile handwoven in India. It is slightly stiff and slightly sheer, and there is a lovely jacquard Swiss Dot print woven into the fabric that gives it a bit of texture.
The fabric was dyed in our studio using eco-friendly fiber-reactive dyes to get this vibrant shade of saffron yellow. The shade pairs well with blue denim and darker jewel tones — I especially like it paired with both our Evergreen Corduroy and Eggplant Denim fabrics.
In addition to the fabric, this top uses cotton thread, seven vintage mother-of-pearl buttons, and organic cotton labels.
Fit
Take a look at our Size Guide to find your size.
The Portia is fitted primarily in the bust, so I recommend using that measurement to determine your size. The style runs true to size, but if your bust measurement is in between sizes or if you are at all concerned, I recommend sizing up to avoid any gaping in the front.
Sarah is wearing a size 4 and is 5'9" with a 33" bust, 24" waist, and 35" hip.
