Story
First released as part of our SS19 collection, the Penny Dress is my ode to two of my favorite clothing decades, the '30s and the '50s. The '30s influence comes through in the fitted and structured bodice, while the '50s influence comes through in the cap sleeves and full pleated skirt. Though the dress is relatively simple in design and un-flashy in terms of fabric (it's made from a crispy midweight cotton-linen blend), the Penny Dress feels and looks quite special, a dress destined for afternoon strolls and birthday parties and picnics in the park.

Fabric
This dress is made of a blend of cotton and flax linen that is woven in Japan. This fabric is incredibly unique in the way that it is woven and processed — with a tight weave and a drying process in the sun, the resulting fabric is incredibly lightweight and breathable yet crispy and subtly weatherproof. The color of the fabric is a deep navy blue.
Fit
Take a look at our Size Guide to find your size.
The Penny Dress is fitted in the bust and the waist, so use both measurements when determining your size. If in doubt, size up, as the dress is quite fitted and the fabric has no stretch.
Tanya is wearing a size 4 and is 5'10.
