Story
When looking at the Margu pieces I've collected for myself over the years, there are a few that stand out, a few that I've washed and worn more times than I can count. One of those pieces is the Delphine Top (and corresponding Celeste Dress) from FW16, a simple, flowy shift piece with ruffly sleeves. I figured it was time to bring this style back for FW19, and for the Cleo Top I took the original Delphine pattern from our archives, updated the neckline and armscye for a better fit, and, most importantly, added an extra layer of ruffle, because there's no such thing as too fancy of a sleeve. Undoubtedly a classic updated for the better!

Fabric
This top is made of silk double georgette woven in Korea. With a hand that feels somewhere in between silk crepe and silk chiffon, this fabric has incredible drape and subtle sheen. The color is a warm, mustardy ochre brown that captures the very essence of autumn.
