Hanami

Margu's seventh collection is the first one to be released in our new New York studio. Originally conceived after a two-week trip to Japan in the spring of 2018, the collection was partly designed in Arkansas and picked up and completed months later in New York. In this way, the collection is uniquely the result of place and its effect on creativity, with elements of Emily's old home in Arkansas, her (very temporary) home in Japan, and her new home in New York woven together. Just as the transient nature of cherry blossoms in Japan makes them all the more beautiful to view, the transient nature of this last year has refocused Margu's energy into creating a collection that celebrates simple beauty and joy.
