All About Our New Size Chart

by Emily DeLong | 21 March 17

In addition to debuting our SS17 collection today, we're also debuting a new size chart. Previously, our clothing was sized from X-Small to X-Large, but with the release of SS17, we're now sizing everything from 00 to 16.

Bust Waist Hips
XS 00 32 24 34
0 33 25 35
S 2 34 26 36
4 35 27 37
M 6 36 28 38
8 37 29 39
L 10 38 30 40
12 39.5 31.5 41.5
XL 14 41 33 43
16 42.5 34.5 44.5

What exactly is changing, you ask?

The short answer: We now offer 10 different sizes instead of five. While we haven't actually expanded our size offering any smaller or larger, we've doubled the number of sizes within our offering to provide a much more precise fit.

The long answer: I began to realize midway through drafting and grading our FW16 collection, especially when I was working on our first-ever pants style, that I wasn't getting the precise fit I wanted with the sizes we were using. Using a XS-XL size range, or even a S/M-L/XL range, is an effective way to size clothing when your clothing isn't particularly form-fitting; however, for pants, structured dresses, and other garments where precise fit is essential (i.e., a large chunk of our clothing), a two- to three-inch window between sizes is not going to provide the best fit for everyone (especially those who happen to fall right in the middle between two sizes). We still plan on using the XS-XL size range for certain projects in the future, though, which is why we're still including it on our size chart.

If you take the time to find your size on our new size chart, you'll find that the chart is basically the same as before — just more precise. Our SS17 collection is our best-fitting collection by far, much thanks to our new size chart, and I'm really excited about creating even better-fitting clothing.
